“ We had a fantastic girls' night dinner at this restaurant and left feeling incredibly satisfied. Their cocktails are simply spectacular. I opted for the Horses Buck, which was a refreshing and had a spice side to it. They also have a secret off-menu pasta dish that our server highly recommended, and it was absolutely delicious. We decided to go with the Caesar salad, which was a unique twist on the classic. While it wasn't my personal favorite, everyone else in the group thoroughly enjoyed it. The steak tartare was another highlight, served with a side salad. Unfortunately, we didn't get to indulge in dessert. The staff was incredibly friendly and approachable, and they made great recommendations throughout the meal. The ambiance was perfect--moody and dark yet inviting, allowing us to enjoy our food and each other's company. You can see and hear despite the music and lighting which i always enjoy. We'll definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future. ”

“ "The best Caesar salad I've ever had" is what kept being announced at our table. We ordered the bread and butter, the Caesar, and the burger (which came with fries). It was the perfect order. I would skip on the bread and butter, nothing to really rave about. I've had better and it wasn't free. As for the endive Caesar salad, it was to die for. The toasted breadcrumbs were evenly spread all over the salad for the perfect crunch. The burger was cooked perfectly well and served with a bed of crunchy fries. The drinks were also a 10/10. The vibes were moody and dim lit lighting perfect for a date night or girls night out. Our service could've been better hence the 1 star knock off. ”

“ I know people have strong opinions when it comes to this restaurant based solely on the on the press scandals but this place is truly one of my favorite restaurants! I love the vibe and they did a great job creating the atmosphere. In the front of the restaurant there's two rooms. The first room is darkly lit, red and moody and has the bar so it's definitely louder. The room to the left is bright and yellow and has a calmer presence. Theres also a room in the back but I've hadn't sat back there. For appetizers we had the bread and butter and sobressada panino. For $2 more it's absolutely worth it to get the sobressada. Theyre tiny little grilled cheese sticks and so yummy. The bread and butter is fine but forgettable. For entrees we've had the special pasta which is off menu. It's basically a spicy pasta that's baked and served in a tin pan with a crispy cheese top layer. This is a fan favorite for most people but I don't enjoy nduja sausage and its flavor in the pasta is very rich. Our other entree was their burger which has to be hands down my favorite burger in LA. The entire burger is wrapped is melted cheese with grilled onions, raw onions, and it's so juicy. The fries it's served with are so tasty, perfectly seasoned with salt and rosemary. For drinks we got the Negroni and spicy margarita but the spicy margarita is definitely the best out of the two! Our service has always been top notch every time we come. Our waters are constantly full and they check on us regularly. I'd recommend this to anyone who's been on the fence or who hasn't tried it simply from the bad press that has nothing to do with their food, because the food is amazing! ”

“ Worth all the hype. Of all my years living just one block away from here it took me so long to drop in. We've always wanted to walk in, but the line outside always looked intimidating. So I finally made a reservation on a random weekday. First off, the vibes is just my jam. It's loud as a mother in there. You hear everything and yet nothing. You end up having to really focus on the person sitting in front of you. Our server was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We ended up ordering the two specials he mentioned which were the vodka pasta and a salad. As it happens to be their popular item, we also got the burger. The pasta had a perfect kick with the spice. I loved the burger. She was messy but my oh my oh so juicy. Ended with the cheesecake even though we had no business getting it. All I'll say is every plate was cleared. Impeccable service. idk how those servers walked around holding multiple plates and not crash into anyone with that tight space. Definitely going to try the bread and butter everyone raves about and the caesar next time. Thank you for being my mew favorite neighborhood hangout. You can take all my monies. ”

“ Had a great time at Horses! The vibes are good and the food is really solid. We particularly enjoyed the chicken dish and the bread and butter was 10 out of 10. We were really excited about the pasta on their secret menu after seeing all of the rave reviews on it, so we ended up ordering two, but it wasn't anything too special. Overall, really fun and vibey restaurant, would come back again! ”

“ This has become one of my favorite spots. From the service to the food/drinks it is worth visiting. They accommodated a special request, water refills were constant, and our waiter was attentive. I had to wait a few minutes before we were seated eventhough we made a reservation but you can order a drink at their bar if you wanted to. The off-menu pasta, horses Caesar, and sobrassada panino are a must-have! Here's my review of each: The off-menu pasta is pretty average tbh when you compare it to every other restaurant that has this dish but the spice level, sauce, pasta, and flavor were great. It also complimented their menu items very well. The horses ceasar had the perfect amount of dressing on each endive and it wasn't too salty with the perfect hint of anchovy flavor that wasn't overpowering - very balanced and well thought out. The sobrassada panino was on the sweeter side but it worked well with the cheese and meat. The drizzled honey on top was a great touch. For drinks, their vesper and margarita were my favorites! If you want something refreshing try the margarita. Their vesper is a great rendition and they use gin infused fig leaf which made it taste really good. Also, extra points for the complimentary crayons to draw on the table and have even more fun! ”
